You can take an easy walk from the village of Alins to discover the tower dovecote where, according to local tradition, the witches of the Vall Ferrera held their covens, or magical gatherings. There is a fine view from there of the village and its surrounding mountains.

From this viewing point you will be able to observe one of the most extensive wooded areas within the Natural Park, the forest of Virós, whose trees in times gone by were used as fuel for smelting the iron ore that was mined here.

A straightforward walking route which brings you to the Viewing Point of the Pica d’Estats, the Peak of States, so called because from there you can see the states of France, Andorra and Spain.
