The sanctuary church of Arboló stands guard over the Noguera Pallaresa river from high on the steep bank of the ravine that it forms at this point. Inside the church, and visible through the window in the door, is a statue of the Mother of God of Arboló, who is the holy patron of the people of the Pallars.
